Edupedia: Jurnal Studi Pendidikan dan Pedagogi Islam is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to advancing research in Islamic education.

The inaugural issue (Vol. 1 No. 1) was published in print in July 2016. In July 2017, beginning with Vol. 2 No. 1, the journal transitioned to a dual-format publication (print and online), marking a significant step toward broader scholarly accessibility and digital dissemination. In the same year, the journal secured its official identifiers—Electronic ISSN 2580-0884 and Print ISSN 2252-8164—and adopted an open-access licensing policy to promote the wider circulation and impact of published research.

Since 2018, Edupedia: Jurnal Studi Pendidikan dan Pedagogi Islam has maintained a consistent publication standard by featuring a minimum of four rigorously reviewed scholarly articles per issue. This commitment to editorial quality and regularity has served as a foundational pillar in strengthening the journal’s academic standing at the national level.

Between 2020 and 2025, the journal achieved national accreditation under the Indonesian Science and Technology Index (SINTA), attaining Rank 4 in accordance with Decree No. 204/E/KPT/2022, effective for five years starting from Vol. 5 No. 1 (July 2020).

Beginning in 2025, Edupedia: Jurnal Studi Pendidikan dan Pedagogi Islam further elevated its academic performance by securing an improved accreditation status of SINTA 3, reflecting enhanced scholarly rigor and institutional credibility.

Entering 2026, the journal reinforces its scientific trajectory by concentrating its publications on Progressive Islamic Religious Education across three principal educational contexts: schools/madrasahs, Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), and higher education institutions. This thematic consolidation signifies journal’s commitment to addressing the evolving dynamics of contemporary Islamic education while strengthening its scholarly contribution at both national and international levels.
