Abstrak

The high prevalence of suicidal ideation among Generation Z indicates a serious mental health problem among young people. This study aims to determine the relationship between resilience and suicidal ideation among Generation Z. The study participants were 230 members of Generation Z who were selected using purposive sampling. Measurements were taken using the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) and the Beck Scale for Suicide Ideation (BSSI). The results of the study show a significant negative relationship between resilience and suicidal ideation, meaning that the higher an individual's resilience, the lower their tendency to have suicidal ideation. These findings emphasize the importance of resilience as a protective factor and provide implications for the development of suicide prevention interventions that focus on strengthening relevant aspects of resilience in Generation Z
