This community service initiative discusses the outreach efforts undertaken by the Indonesian Institute of the Arts and Culture (ISBI) Aceh in response to flash floods in the regencies of Pidie Jaya, Bireuen, and Aceh Tamiang. The project aims to illustrate how an arts-focused higher education institution can address post-disaster community needs through humanitarian aid, the cleaning of educational spaces, and the implementation of creative, art-based, and environmentally conscious activities. The initiative employed a community-based research (CBR) approach, with data collected through field observations, visual documentation, activity logs, and informal conversations with community members and school administrators. The project was carried out in two phases: the first phase focused on the distribution of aid and the cleaning of schools, while the second phase centered on art and environmental activities in Pidie Jaya. Key outcomes included the distribution of logistical aid, the removal of mud from affected schools, the creation of crafts from flood-borne timber debris, the production of "ecoprints" using leaves, and the development of an "eco-garden." The second phase involved 150 students, organized into three groups of 50. These findings highlight the unique contribution of an arts-focused higher education institution, characterized by the integration of humanitarian response, creative practice, the repurposing of environmental materials, and collaboration with the local community. Overall, the program successfully delivered humanitarian assistance, restored educational spaces, and fostered creative activities that utilized flood-borne timber and natural materials. The active participation of both students and the community demonstrates that arts-focused higher education institutions can effectively integrate humanitarian response with applied arts practices and environmental stewardship in post-disaster recovery efforts.
