Pregnant women try to overcome this problem by using medicines or complementary therapies such as acupressure. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of complementary acupressure therapy in reducing the symptoms of emesis gravidarum in pregnant women. A study involving 40 pregnant women, of which 20 experienced significant symptoms, used acupressure techniques at pericardium point 6 to relieve symptoms of nausea and vomiting during the early trimester of pregnancy. This research used quasi-experimental methods (pre-test and post-test) and collected data through questionnaires RINVR and observations at Posyandu Mattirotappareng 1, Tempe District, Wajo Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The results showed a significant difference in the frequency of nausea and vomiting before and after acupressure therapy. After undergoing therapy, there was a significant reduction in the average number of nausea and vomiting events per day, decreasing from 9.0 to 5.2 times. The p-value < 0.05 indicates that acupressure therapy has a significant impact in reducing the frequency of nausea and vomiting in pregnant women. Therefore, the use of acupressure therapy at pericardium point 6 as a non-pharmacological treatment option is effective in reducing symptoms in pregnant women during the early trimester of pregnancy.
Samsinar Samsinar, Yusda Seman Copyright (c) 2024 Oksitosin : Jurnal Ilmiah Kebidanan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.ibrahimy.ac.id/index.php/oksitosin/article/view/4252 Thu, 01 Feb 2024 00:00:00 +0700 Hubungan Keragamanan Makanan dengan Status Gizi Balita Usia 1-5 Tahun https://journal.ibrahimy.ac.id/index.php/oksitosin/article/view/4327
Food diversity is a major problem for all developing countries, including Indonesia. Dietary diversity is associated with the risk of stunting and other nutritional problems. Stunting will have a negative impact on children's thinking, memory, school performance and work productivity in the future. In an effort to reduce the high stunting rate in Sumberwungu Village, the Government was distributing additional food in the form of snacks but it was not in accordance with nutritional needs. The aim of this research was to determine whether the nutritional status of toddlers aged 1-5 years was related to diversity in Sumberwungu Village, Tepus, Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta. This type of research uses a retrospective methodology and is an analytical observational study. The sample in the research was 34 toddlers who experienced nutritional problems. Food diversity data was collected using the IDDS questionnaire with a non-consecutive 2x24 hour recall method. The data analysis used in this research is univariate and bivariate analysis. Bivariate analysis in this study uses the Kendal-Tau test to determine the relationship between food diversity and the nutritional status of toddlers. The results of data analysis showed that there was no relationship between food diversity and nutritional status in toddlers aged 1-5 years (z score BB/U p= 0.898, z score TB/U p= 0.941, and z score BB/TB p= 0.913).
Neng Yani Yulianti, Nendhi Wahyunia Utami, Endah Puji Astuti Copyright (c) 2024 Oksitosin : Jurnal Ilmiah Kebidanan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.ibrahimy.ac.id/index.php/oksitosin/article/view/4327 Thu, 01 Feb 2024 00:00:00 +0700 Pengetahuan tentang Manajemen Laktasi pada Ibu Menyusui Mendukung Keberhasilan ASI Eksklusif https://journal.ibrahimy.ac.id/index.php/oksitosin/article/view/4191
Promoting breastfeeding is one of the objectives to be attained under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) policy. Coverage of breastfeeding, both globally and regionally, still needs to meet standards, and one of the elements that can impact breastfeeding success is the extent of the mother's knowledge about lactation management. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between the level of knowledge about lactation management and exclusive breastfeeding in breastfeeding mothers. This study was designed as an observational analytic research utilizing a cross-sectional approach. The sample comprised 51 individuals, selected using random sampling technique that fulfilled the predetermined criteria for inclusion (breastfeeding mothers aged 6-12 months) and exclusion criteria (mothers with comorbidities). This study was conducted in the working area of the Tulungrejo Community Health Center in December 2023. To assess the mother's understanding of lactation management, a questionnaire was utilized as the research instrument. The chi-square test with the assistance of the SPSS 25 software was applied to analyze the data. The results indicated that 45.1% of mothers had sufficient knowledge, and 52.9% did not breastfeed exclusively. Statistical test results p value 0.000 < 0.05 indicated a correlation between between the knowledge level of lactation management and exclusive breastfeeding. The expectation is for health workers and breastfeeding support groups to play a significant role in educating mothers about lactation management during pregnancy, which is carried out consistently so that mothers can provide breast milk exclusively to babies.
Reni Ulfa Lailatul Magfiroh, Endah Kusuma Wardani, Desy Purnamasari Copyright (c) 2024 Oksitosin : Jurnal Ilmiah Kebidanan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.ibrahimy.ac.id/index.php/oksitosin/article/view/4191 Thu, 01 Feb 2024 00:00:00 +0700 Pengetahuan dan Sikap Ibu Rumah Tangga dalam Pencegahan Kanker Servik https://journal.ibrahimy.ac.id/index.php/oksitosin/article/view/3927
Cervical cancer caused by HPV (human papillomavirus) usually attacks women aged between 35 and 55 years and ranks second as the type of cancer most commonly experienced by Indonesian women.
