Abstract

Unilateral price cuts in corn trading with a slashing system have been unilaterally determined by the slasher. In this practice, farmers have agreed even though there are elements of coercion and unwillingness in the sale and purchase. So according to Islamic law, the sale and purchase contains elements of gharar (fraud) because the principles of the sale and purchase are not fulfilled. Sociologically, Islamic law has several factors that make people practice this sale and purchase, namely economic, cultural, educational and social factors. If we look at the level of Islamic law practice in society, it is still relatively low because Islamic law has not been able to influence people's behavioral patterns, so there is a need for religious leaders in the community who should provide understanding and education to the community to practice buying and selling in accordance with Islamic law. The impact that can be given from the practice of unilateral price cuts is only a negative impact because the sale and purchase carried out only has a negative impact, because it can harm one party and violate the provisions of Islamic law.
