This study employs classroom action research. The research data includes observations obtained directly during the implementation of the lessons, interview data gathered from interviews between the researcher and students, and student test data before and after the lessons. The researcher aims to examine listening instruction using the direct method and assess student learning outcomes through tests administered before and after the lessons. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the direct method must be carried out through the stages of planning, implementation, evaluation, and reflection. Moreover, student learning outcomes improved significantly after applying the direct method to listening instruction.
2024-07-15T10:11:12+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Slamet Riyadi, Muhammad Ridha https://journal.ibrahimy.ac.id/index.php/Lahjah/article/view/5072 AL-USUS AL-TSAQAFIYAH LI I’DADI MAWAD TA’LIM AL-LUGHAH AL-’ARABIYAH 2024-07-15T20:56:16+07:00 Shofwatul Fu'adah shofwatulfuadah07@gmail.com Almannah Wassalwa salwaelmanna90@gmail.com Irfan irfan90@unm.ac.id Ahmadi M Muhammadiyah1968@gmail.com
Language is the vessel of culture and is the primary means of expressing it in many fields. The Arabic language and its culture go hand in hand. It is difficult for a foreign student to understand the Arabic language accurately or to use it well without understanding the specific cultural concepts associated with it. The idea of teaching the cultural content of the language comes first, not for cultural purposes, but for linguistic purposes. Literature review is a research methodology used in this study. When creating teaching materials, researchers collect information from textual and electronic publications regarding sociocultural concepts. The result of the study aims to discusses culture and its characteristics, the relationship between language and culture, culture and learning Arabic for non-Arabs as well as cultural content in teaching Arabic as a foreign language, especially things that need to be considered in the cultural aspect when preparing Arabic language teaching books for foreign students. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of the STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) learning model in learning the Arabic language in class VIII students of Az-Zakiyah Islamic School. This study used a pseudo-experimental approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. In this design, the researcher measured the dependent variable (student learning outcomes) twice: once before the application of the STAD model (pre-test) and once after the application of the STAD model (post-test) to see changes in student learning outcomes in response to the intervention that the researcher conducted. The instruments included learning achievement tests (pre-test and post-test) and classroom observation sheets. The pre-test was used to obtain a baseline of students' level of understanding before the intervention. In contrast, the post-test was used to evaluate the impact of the intervention on students' learning outcomes after the implementation of the STAD learning model. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes after the implementation of the STAD learning model. The mean score of students' pre-test was 61, while the post-test score increased to 73, indicating a 19% increase in effectiveness. Statistical analysis with a t-test for paired samples showed that the difference in pre-test and post-test scores was significant (t(19) = -10.162, p < 0.05). Classroom observations and interviews showed that the STAD model increased students' participation and cooperation in the learning process. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the STAD learning model is effective in improving students' Arabic language learning outcomes in class VIII of Az-Zakiyah Islamic School.
2024-07-15T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Winda Syari Situmorang, Sahkholid Nasution https://journal.ibrahimy.ac.id/index.php/Lahjah/article/view/3291 ANALYSIS OF ARABIC TEACHING BOOKS OF MA CLASS XI 2013 CURRICULUM PUBLISHED 2020 RI MINISTRY OF RELIGION 2024-07-15T20:56:16+07:00 Fitria Cinta Farida fitriacinta98@gmail.com Achmad Irsyad Assiddiqi assiddiqiirsyad@gmail.com Mokhammad Miftakhul Huda dr.hoeda@gmail.com Faisol Nasar bin Madi binmadi007@gmail.com
This study aims to determine the learning of speaking skills in Arabic textbooks for class XI Madrasah Aliyah 2013 curriculum published by the Ministry of Religion and to find out its advantages and disadvantages. Insufficient self-confidence, fear of being wrong in terms of rules and pronunciation create obstacles for students to speak Arabic, therefore an It is necessary to analyze linguistic faults so that Arabic pronunciation pays more attention and in order to avoid mistakes in Arabic pronunciation. The purpose of this study is to outline the types of phonological errors in Maharah Kalam, as well as to analyze phonological errors in student Maharah Kalam. This research is field research and is a qualitative descriptive study that employs a linguistic error analysis approach. Ways for gathering data that involve observation and recording. This observation is carried out by paying attention to students' speech and noting any grammar mistakes. Documentation is completed using recording technology. According to the study's findings, consonant sound alterations represent faults at the phonological (phoneme) level, including: changes in consonant /ث/ to consonant /س/, consonant /ع/ to consonant /أ/, consonant /ص/ becomes a consonant /س/. The other errors are errors in reducing phoneme sounds, phonological mistakes at the level of syntax, and phonological mistakes at the morphological level. It can be concluded that there are several errors in language and the factor causing language errors is a lack of attention to the language rules that should be applied. Apart from that, there is the influence of the student's mother tongue or second language, and the influence of the environment, both formal and informal, as well as the lack of application of Arabic. Several causal factors have a big influence on students' phoneme pronunciation errors. This research can provide a new platform for Arabic speakers to always pay attention to Arabic rules when speaking.
2024-07-15T10:47:08+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Tasha Ayu Azzahra, M. However, in contrast to general discourse, the linguistic structure of the Qur'anic language style has a rich and deep meaning. One of the language styles that has an unusual construct is ahwal mutaʽalliqāt al-fiʽli. Relevance theory is present to reveal the meaning of ahwal mutaʽalliqāt al-fiʽli contained in the verses of the Qur'an so that it becomes evidence to strengthen the miracle of the Qur'an in terms of its language. This research aims to introduce as well as focus on examining more deeply the meanings of ahwal mutta'alliqat al'fi'li in the verses of the Qur'an. The research method used is descriptive-interpretative with Content Analysis model. The approach used is an inductive approach which is then presented descriptively to explain the meaning of ahwal mutaʽalliqāt al-fiʽli based on the principles of relevance theory formulated by Sperber and Wilson. The findings obtained a total of 16 data of ahwal mutaʽalliqāt al-fiʽli from 11 verses of surah al-Mulk which are divided into the categories of omitting fāʽil, omitting maf'ul, giving precedence to maf'ul, giving precedence to jār majrūr, and giving precedence to żaraf. All data are understood by contextual reasoning based on the theory of relevance which is also in line with the rules of balaghah according to Al-Harbi and Al-Hasyimi.
2024-07-15T16:33:27+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Marliana Nur Hasanah, Syihabuddin, Nalahuddin Saleh
