Samakia: The first Journal of Fisheries Science was produced and published in 2016 by the LPPM Academy of Fisheries ibrahimy. This journal runs in the management of LPPM Academy of Fisheries ibrahimy ± 3 years, from the first edition to volume 9 number 2. After the merger of universities under the auspices of the Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School Syafi'iyah Sukorejo Situbondo to Ibrahimy University, journal management was taken over by the Faculty of Science and Technology , Ibrahimy University.
Since management was taken over with the composition of the new Journal manager, published articles began to be registered to obtain DOI from CrossReff by affiliating with Indonesian Journal Volunteers through the Institute of Research and Community Service (LP2M) Ibrahimy University. So far, Samakia: Fisheries Journal has been indexed in the Sprott Index 5, PKP, Google Scholar, Garuda, One Search, BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine), WorldCat, and Indexing Directories in Research Journals (DRJI) as well as in indexing proposals in Journal Journal Directories. Open Access.
We need to say that in the first release of the journal, Samakia: Journal of Fisheries Science uses OJS version 2.0.0.0 and continues to be upgraded to version 3.1.1.2 when it is managed by LP2M Ibrahimy Fisheries Academy. After merging into a university, there was a tug of war management journal, finally it was decided to be combined using one OJS. So for articles that have been published before mergers and new journal managers, we upload them back to the new OJS. After the merger we continued to use OJS 3.1.1.4 and were upgraded to the current 3.1.2.1 version.
