Abstract

This research implements role playing activities to improve the speaking skills of children in group B at Kindergarten Suka Maju. The development method is used with three development stages. Each research stage involves planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation. 16 children aged 5-6 years from group B were research subjects. Research data collection uses the observation method. The data was then analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis methods. The role playing method is applied through a series of stages, including preparation, opening activities, core activities, and final activities. The research results showed an average increase in children's speaking abilities after implementing the role-playing method. This increase was 31.25% in development I, 56.25% in development II, and 87.5% in development III. at Suka Maju Kindergarten, Tabalong Regency. It can be concluded that children's speaking abilities increased significantly after implementing role-playing activities.
