PENGEMBANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI AKUNTANSI BERBASIS WEB PADA TEACHING FACTORY NUTRITION CARE CENTER POLITEKNIK NEGERI JEMBER

Abstract

Financial management at Teaching Factory Nutrition Care Center (NCC) Politeknik Negeri Jember was previously conducted using a semi-manual approach. Consequently, transaction recording, financial report preparation, data integration, and monitoring were not functioning optimally. This study aimed to develop a web-based Accounting Information System (AIS) capable of enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of financial management at the NCC. This research employed Research and Development (R&D) method using waterfall system development approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and brainstorming sessions with NCC management. The system was developed using the PHP programming language and a MySQL database, featuring capabilities such as transaction management, general journals, general ledgers, financial reporting, a monitoring dashboard, and multi-user management. Testing was conducted using Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The results indicate that the web-based AIS was successfully developed and implemented at the NCC teaching factory. Testing demonstrated that the system's core functions operated according to requirements, while the implementation facilitated more structured transaction recording, integrated financial report preparation, and easier, centralized data monitoring. The resulting system has been introduced to NCC management and can serve as a foundation for developing digital financial management systems for other teaching factories.
